OVERVIEW

Sometimes children with learning differences can get lost in school, even with special accommodations. The need for tutoring is becoming more and more of a necessity to our children who may have difficulties relating to reading, spelling, math, writing, and/or comprehension. That's why APTS has introduced a new tutoring program to southern Nevada that will revolutionize the way that children and parents see tutoring. The tutoring model of once a week for several years is becoming a thing of the past as we look to educate and help our children at a faster pace.

        APTS is a private company owned by a licensed clinical psychologist and a master's level educational specialist whose area of expertise is in learning disorders and developmental disabilities.

        APTS utilizes the LindaMood-Bell^® learning process program to educate to the individual needs of your child. We base your child's learning needs by using an interactive approach utilizing auditory, visual and language comprehension. Other areas covered are visual-motor skills, symbol imagery for sign words,

spelling and phonemic awareness, mathematical computation and reasoning, oral language expression and comprehension, written language skills, concept imagery for language, as well as developing memory and critical thinking skills.

        Once you call APTS, we will set up a time for you to meet with our staff. Each child accepted for tutoring will need to complete an extensive evaluation of his or her current academic strengths and weaknesses so that the tutoring program can be individualized to meet your child's specific needs. We believe that tutoring should be a major emphasis for children, done several days a week and presented in four to six week increments.
